Perspectives on Library 2.0, Web 2.0 and the future of libraries

As you can see I'm moving along very quicky. I read briefly on the perspectives in the opinions of others in the Library world. In my opinion technology is opening the doors to sharing, easy access, and sharing among each other our great knowledge. Libraries are cooperating with each other in giving this information from one customer to the other. I think is great that we educate and learn together. But,I still love my books.

Del.icio.us & Technorati

I didn't create accounts on these sites because I don't want to add other browsers to my personal one I have at home but I can see how tagging and the sites can help in reference and research a topic become useful. As going to these sites these sites social networking is very popular and helpful. Tagging helps things stay organize and easy to link to in one click. It's very time consuming.

Rollyo

It is nice to have your favorite links all into one category and being able to just us it and share with other by a click of a button.

LibraryThing

It was neat to post your favorite books and compare with others.

RSS & Bloglines

It's so amazing on how you can link to so many things onto one page instead of searching through so many sites and get the latest on a certain site for example CNN. Also what you have in common with other people in library land and web world.
